Here are a few odds and ends from the last few pages of Sketchbook 53. After this I'll be posting stuff from Sketchbook 55, because I realized that I had two Sketchbook 53s.

A character from my overly elaborate fantasy family drama that spans four or five generations, but involves more people having trouble with magical weirdness than world-altering dynastic machinations.
This drawing, despite being dashed off in a few minutes, has a long and complicated history and represents an attempt to wrestle something good out of a terrible situation. Some good work was lost to unfortunate circumstances and I haven't quite given up trying to salvage it.
